What is a Health Promoting School? Resource Launch

WAHPSA, with funding from Healthway, is launching the third edition of a resource that has provided schools, universities and health professionals with the key knowledge to create a health promoting school since the initial edition was published in 1998. 

This third edition of the What is a health promoting school? resource has been developed to assist schools to be healthy, safe environments for living, learning and working. This updated publication aligns with the 2021 release of the World Health Organization’s Making every school a health-promoting school – Global standards and indicators.

We will celebrate this milestone by hearing from special guests who made vital contributions to the book and learn why now is a more important time than ever for schools – and those who support schools – to adopt a whole-school approach to health and wellbeing. Refreshments will follow the guest speakers and launch.
