What’s new at Cancer Council WA

January 23, 2019

Our friends (and long-time WAHPSA members) at Cancer Council WA have some exciting resources, news and events to share.

Sun protection in schools

Cancer Council have developed guidelines to assist schools in reducing ultraviolet (UV) exposure of students and staff. The document includes key recommendations and applies to all sectors and year levels. Check out – Sun protection – best practice guidelines for WA schools.

March Munch

Have you registered your school for this year’s March Munch yet? Help show your students that eating vegies can be fun with Crunch&Sip’s annual event, March Munch.

Teachers from registered classrooms receive a pack including tally sheets, calendar cards, stickers and incentives to help their students with their munch goals. Classrooms will also go in the running to win some awesome prizes.

Teachers don’t miss out either, with access to exciting classroom learning activities, science experiments and maths sheets to be used throughout the month.  They’ll also be kept in the loop with weekly updates from our Crunch&Sip team.
