Mentally Healthy Schools Program

The Mentally Healthy Schools Program provides schools with guidance, resources and training on embedding the Act-Belong-Commit ethos into the whole school setting to boost mental health and wellbeing and prevent the onset of mental health problems.

The mental health message of Act-Belong-Commit encourages children and young people to deliberately do things to look after their mental wellbeing.  Keeping mentally and physically active, having good friends, helping others and learning new things not only builds self-esteem and confidence, it also can reduce stress and help with academic outcomes.

The Mentally Healthy Schools Program is available to all schools in WA free of charge and is a simple and flexible approach to positive mental health and wellbeing.
