June 25th 2021 – From Shared Knowledge to Collective Action
Do you need help navigating the world of consent, healthy relationships, and sexuality education that recent media attention has brought to light?
This exciting full-day event (in-person and online tickets available) will showcase recent developments in school-based relationships and sexuality education (RSE). Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a broad range of engaging speakers and participate in practical activities that can be taken straight back to the classroom!
- Dr Louisa Allen is our fabulous keynote speaker. Louisa is a Professor at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has decades of experience in the areas of gender, young people, and schooling and brings a sex-positive approach to her work.
- A panel of youth speakers from diverse backgrounds will discuss their experiences and the future of RSE in schools.
- In our “Stories from the Field” session, classroom teachers will share some of their RSE success stories.
- Delegates can select from a broad variety of workshop options in the afternoon.
Most sessions throughout the day will be recorded and will be available to all ticket-holders after the event. Whilst this is a WA-focused event, we welcome interstate and international interest.
