Program snapshot
1. Taste Masterclass delivered by Chef Herb Faust. Herb will whip up healthy and tasty food that can easily outshine all those ‘fast food’ items students are attracted to. You will get to taste each item and discuss how best to market them in your canteen for maximum sales. Heart Foundation Dietitian, Nick Nation, will provide you with a running commentary and some enlightening fast food facts.
2. Tour Take a guided tour around the iconic Brownes factory and take a virtual tour around the new eCanteens section of the WASCA website. Plus a new food and nutrition resource to take home.
3. Talk Learning from your peers is one of the most valued experiences. Share your knowledge and ideas, gain more insight into the way other canteens operate and learn from those in the know during this networking session. Talk to nutritionists about how you can modify recipes and create menus that rival the competition.
